Paramedical Courses

The Lisie School of Medical Laboratory Technology was first started in 1972, recognized by the Christian Medical Association of India (CMAI) under the aegis of Reverend Father Mathew Muttamthotty, who also introduced various other courses in the coming years, as the Director of Lisie Medical and Educational Institutions.

In 1999, a Diploma in Dialysis Technology, recognized by the Directorate of Medical Educational (DME) Kerala, and in 2005 Diploma in Anesthesia Technology (both are 2 year full-time programs) recognized by the CMAI was introduced. In 2009, a BSc degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Anesthesia and Critical Care Technology (all of which are 4-year full-time programs), recognized by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was started.

In 2013 under the aegis of the Reverend Father Thomas Vaikathuparmbil, as the Director of Lisie Medical and Educational Institutions, Bharat Sevak Samaj (BSS) Vocational courses were introduced as an alternative educational system. In 2017, BSc MLT (Medical Laboratory Technology) and in 2020, BCVT (Cardiovascular Technology) to 2019 courses (both are 4-year full-time courses) affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences were introduced.
